Benefit Golf Tournament – For Francisco “Chico” Claro

 On April 20th 2011 Phoenix lost a valued employee and friend.  Francisco “Chico” Claro lost his two-year long battle with cancer.    Though our loss was significant, it does not compare to the loss felt by his wife Kristine and his three young daughters, Anna, Emily  and Julie.  Chico was a great man and a loving father.   To honor his memory, and help fill the void he leaves behind, Phoenix Communications has organized this tournament to benefit his children as they navigate through their lives.   All proceeds from our event will go into a fund for the girl’s future.  Any contribution will make a difference in their lives.  Please  consider participating  by joining us for a fun day of golf, sponsoring the event, or donating an item to be used for an award or raffle.    Your generosity will help us help a wonderful family.   For additional information, please contact Jessica Toohil at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Phoenix Communications Has Added Fiber Optic Characterization Testing to Our List of Services

Subsequently we have recently expanded our service offerings to include a comprehensive suite of tests that will help you reduce time to market for optical-based services by identifying problems proactively and providing time to take corrective actions.

What is Fiber Characterization?

Fiber Characterization Service is a series of tests taken on a fiber optic span to determine the integrity of the fiber, installation practices and performance of a desired transmission rate and/or Service. Tests that can be performed include: OTDR - Multiple wavelengths, Bi-directional; Power Meter and Light Source - Multiple wavelengths, Bi-directional; Chromatic Dispersion - 10nm wavelength increments, Uni-directional; Polarization Mode Dispersion - Single wavelength, Uni-directional; Optical Return Loss - Single wavelength, both directions.
