TRAINING

Basic Training

Don’t be misled. What we call “basic training” would, more often than not in our industry, be considered quite comprehensive. To begin with, we require all of our technical personnel to be trained and/or certified in the following areas:

  • OSHA 10
  • OSHA 30
  • OSHA 1910.268 - Telecommunications
  • OSHA 1910.269 - Electric Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution
  • CPR/First Aid (AHA)
  • Bucket Truck Safety/Rescue
  • Fall Protection
  • Enclosed/Confined Space
  • Railroad Safety
  • Insulate & Isolate Procedures
  • 3D Driver

Advanced Training

We strongly believe that no one ever ran into problems in this complicated and demanding business by over-emphasizing safety. Which is why our commitment to safety doesn’t end with courses or certifications, no matter how many of them our workforce completes. So in addition to the courses mentioned above, we also hold weekly safety briefs and monthly safety meetings for our entire staff. Our goal, in fact, is to maintain and constantly augment a corporate culture dedicated to safety awareness and proactive safety management. In short, our safety policy is more than a page or two in our company handbook; it’s a corporate mindset.

Training Facility

Phoenix Communications understands the essential value of hands on training in helping our employees maintain the highest standards of safety during the performance of their work. This is why we have made a significant investment in an on-site training facility. Equipped with a manhole and poles, this facility allows us to simulate live bucket truck rescue and confined entry training.  We ensure the valuable skills, experience and opinions from our employees are offered and shared in the development of our training programs.   We have OSHA accredited trainers on our staff, and have long, established relationships with training vendors and professionals.   We also encourage our customers to attend, participate and rate our training modules, so please inquire with our staff and visit when the next available training date meets your schedule to attend.
